Product Photography for Savvisand
As commercial photographers, in addition to food photography, we also love product photography.
One of our recent photo shoots was for the award-winning Savvisand. It is brilliant to photograph the work of creative individuals in Northern Ireland. The product is for those who (like myself) get discomfort from sticky sand after a swim in the sea.

Although, at the first glance the product looks simple, I believe the development of such a product must have been a long and meticulous process.

The brief for this project was to incorporate Savvisand’s corporate colours, photograph the pouch and the individual items in the pouch. A nice change from a pure white background for product listings that is so much the norm nowadays. However, their suppliers in other parts of the world had requested pure white background for their website, we therefore did a second shoot to satisfy the suppliers needs.
We also had to keep in mind that these shots have to work well in square format for the product listing on the client’s website.
Since from the initial interaction with the product, it may not be obvious what it is for, we decided to use some shells as props for visual reference.
At the shoot, the client was present seeing the progress on the computer screen and approving the shots as we progressed. We had fun along the way and I look forward to another shoot at some point in the future.
