Photographing chefs at work
One of my favourite types of photo shoot is photographing chefs at work. I love seeing the masters at work and capturing the passion and enthusiasm involved creating their dishes. I greatly admire the chefs that attention to detail is one of the fundamental aspects of their cooking and serving.
When photographing at a restaurant, I always respect the chef's ability to style their food. However, in some cases, some little tweaking/help with food styling makes a big difference to the photograph. My experience has thought me to be polite, and respectful of the chef's talent and work together to achieve the best result and showcase their talent. Chefs love being told how amazing they are and by admiring their talent, I always seem to get great result.
