DSLR Camera Photography courses Beginners Training
Have you always wanted to take great photographs but you’re stuck on the auto settings and frustrated that your creativity is compromised by the lack of knowledge of the camera manual settings. Would you like to take photographs that are harmonious and creative? Photography is similar to creating a great dish, all ingredients (for example composition, lighting, depth of focus) have to come together to create a great shot.
Our aim is to move you away from the auto settings, help you to understand exposure, shutter speed and ISO and the impact that they have on your images. We will then dive into other aspects of photography to make you more confident with your journey into photography.
The course will cover the following:
Camera settings - Understanding of camera manual settings which include exposure, shutter speed, ISO and white balance. We’ll teach you how to use a combination of these settings for different situations and creating the desired effect.
Composition - There is one particular guideline which is commonly used for composing harmonious and balanced photographs. We’ll discuss this, how to apply it and the effect that it will have on your photos. Additionally, for each genre of photography there are tips and tricks of composition that should be kept in mind in order to draw the viewer in, engage them and take them on a journey. We’ll discuss how these rules are applied to subjects such as portraiture, landscape, food and product photography.
Lighting - The word ‘photography’ means drawing with light. If it is used correctly, you can create magic, and no matter how good your exposure and composition are, if you get the lighting wrong the end result will be unsuccessful.
Creativity - We will guide you through the steps that will make your photographs more exciting, and enable you to see the world through a photographer’s eyes.
Lenses - The use of appropriate lenses for different situations. Lenses are potentially one of the most expensive parts of photography. We’ll discuss what lenses might be suitable for different genres, and how to get the best out of the lens or lenses you already have.
Other equipment - We’ll cover other equipment (such as tripod, filters etc.) that you will need, to help you through your photographic journey.
