Combined Food and Product Photography
As food and product photographer it is so pleasurable when I'm asked to combine these two skills.
I was recently asked by Alison Hanvey Ceramics to take photographs of her beautiful products with food. Alison wanted to demonstrate that her work is not just to be used as ornaments, but she would love her products to be used.
Well what can I say..... I was in heaven, combining my two photographic passions of food and skilfully made products.
For these shots I used natural light and I wanted a fresh, summery look in a domestic situation. I wanted to show how these products could look great with whatever food they were designed for. I'm very happy with the result.
These photographs were a part of a larger commission, photographing Alison's latest designs. The following photographs were recently used in the Craft Fest 2015 at Castleward NI publicity materials.
As the result of doing these shoots, I borrowed some of Alison's products for a shoot that we did for Fish City. I have now purchased a few pieces to use as props for future food shoots. Watch this space!!!
