Photography workshop for businesses - week 2

Photography workshop for businesses - week 2

The second week of the workshop on ‘the importance of photography for businesses’ commissioned by Ards and North Down Borough Council's Economic Development Department was delivered yesterday. The purpose of the workshops was to provide businesses with an understanding of the importance of high-quality photography for brand elevation, and how to achieve it. The workshops are delivered at the Council’s training centre ‘Signal’ in Bangor.

It was an absolute pleasure delivering these workshops and the feedback afterwards was highly satisfying.

Putting together the two half-day workshops has been extremely interesting. The aim was for the delegates to gain an understanding of the use of both mobile device cameras and also DSLR cameras specifically for business photo shoots.

For the first workshop, I had concentrated on the impact of good photography for business, as well as how to make the most of mobile device camera settings. The second workshop was mainly dedicated to the most important DSLR manual settings.

The delegates were encouraged to carry out group exercises and get involved in discussions. I was delighted with the feedback I received at the end of both sessions.

The next step is to have one to one sessions at each delegate’s premisses. As each business is different, these one to one sessions are to provide advice and assistance specifically related to each delegate’s requirements.
